This year Halloween will be a very different because we won’t be able to go trick or treating or have big Halloween parties.
We wanted to create an event so we can all enjoy the magic of the season safely.
How to get involved with the Pumpkin Spectacular:
1. Have fun at home carving your pumpkin
2. Arrange a time to drop it off with us by emailing josie.wall@jqdt.org. We can accept pumpkins from 26th to 30th October but as our building is closed to the public during renovation works, you need to make an appointment so we can arrange to meet you.
3. We create a beautiful display of all the pumpkins in the unique and atmospheric surroundings of the catacombs at Warstone Lane Cemetery. We will make a film of the display featuring everyone’s creative pumpkins. You will be able to watch the film on our website, youtube and here on facebook.
We’ll email everyone who donates a pumpkin a link to watch the film on 31st October. to make sure you don’t miss it!
4. After the event the pumpkins will be donated to Highbury Orchard who will use them to feed wildlife and for composting. This means there is no waste generated by this event.
Please note that we cannot arrange the return of your pumpkin.

We had an amazing day yesterday at the @jqbid #jqfestival collaborating with @jo_gane1 @suslifeuk @dontgointothecellar and of course the @friendskeyhillwarstonelanecem meeting so many amazing people

We couldn't have done it without everyone's help, including loads of support behind the scenes from @bhamcitycouncil @coffin_works @thehivejq and all the amazing #JQHeritageSquad volunteers.

Now we need to sleep for a week but then we'll be buzzing with ideas for 2023!
